Hants County ExhibitionTuesday, February 13th, 2018 at 3:34pmHappy Agriculture Day from the oldest agricultural fair in North America! How are you celebrating?
Hants County ExhibitionWednesday, January 31st, 2018 at 4:36pmIn all the excitement of Exhibition last September we forgot to congratulate our scholarship winner! Megan Whitehead of Martock is shown accepting her $1000 scholarship from longtime Windsor Agricultural Society member John Wilson. Congratulations Megan and all the best with your education.
A little bit about Megan: “I am from Martock where I maintain a hobby farm with ducks, chickens and a horse. I just graduated from Avon View High School in June, 2017. I enjoyed playing varsity rugby all 3 years of high school. I’ve been in 4-H for 11 years now. I’ve had many incredible experiences through 4-H; a couple years ago I was awarded with a national award, which was an amazing experience. I always look forward to Exhibition weekend every year. I have enjoyed watching the shows since I was probably 4 years old watching my brother show in 4-H, then started to show animals myself a few years after. I currently show poultry, waterfowl and beef in 4-H.
This past September I started my fist year of university at Dalhousie – Faculty of Agriculture. I am enrolled in the Pre-Vet program.
I would also like to say a huge thank you to the Windsor Agriculture Society for supporting me, it was greatly appreciated!”
